All About Perspective

Erin and I have been discussing mindset lately...

Specifically, "creative and competitive mindset", and it's kind of blowing my mind..

Think about it. Do you remember growing up playing with those "everybody wins" kids? The soccer team loses. Everyone is bummed. Kids are arguing about how if Max would have just done this and if Katie would have just done that. And here comes me, "Guys, none of that matters. We are all winners if you think about it. This loss just makes us stronger."

Oh brother...

You may be rolling your eyes. Typical naive kid who doesn't care about the game. Right?

You'd be surprised. I actually was one of those kids. I cared a lot about the game, but I cared even more about the team. About growth. 

This is a great example of creative vs competitive mindset. And understanding both can really help you win at life. It's super important to be competitive in a moment, but without considering the overall big picture and focusing on the cycle of growth, you will miss out on creating even greater exponential growth in your life, in sports, and in relationships with people.
