Your number one enemy

Can I tell you something straight?

You are valuable. Inside and out. If you have a hard time believing so, allow me to explain “why”. Your body is made up of trillions of cells, organelles, and tissues with life coursing through it. All this life inside you has one purpose in mind - keep life going! In passing conversations with clients and friends, self-worth conversations obviously come in to the picture from time to time. I think most of us can agree, that we have all had questions on the matter. What I like to remember is that apart from what I think about self-worth, my body and the life within it is valuable despite what I think, do, or believe. It is life after all! Jeepers!

That being said, I have to remind my self intentionally on the matter. I use these do’s and don’ts to get my mind right:

  • Don't be fooled by the inner "lies" of “It's not worth, or you're not worth it.”

  • Do things that specifically stimulate your wonder muscles!

  • Do NOT believe everything you naturally tell yourself is the truth!

  • Do practice telling yourself encouraging things.

  • Do NOT be fooled into thinking that there is no way out.

I mean think about it.. have you ever been wrong about anything? Have you ever put off making a decision that cost you? Because you were afraid or you didn’t feel like it was worth or that YOU were worth it. Sometimes, if you had made the decision earlier, you may would have been better off!

When this happens, we tell ourselves, “I’ll never do that again.” Except we do it all the time!

If you’re constantly indecisive about taking leaps that are good for yourself then you are literally holding yourself back. The worst that happens is you spend time and money and learn something. Imagine you don’t do anything and you behave like a rock for the rest of your life! That sounds glamorous. “I sit here and no one can touch me or move me. I’m a rock after all and I don’t plan to go anywhere fast.”

Don’t misunderstand me in thinking I’m saying you are “wrong” to think this way. A lot of people think this way! Including me! I just want to encourage you to practice these habits with me! I hope this was helpful - until next time!
