Take-aways from time away.

As you may know, I’ve been traveling a lot this month! Traveling can be a lot of fun with new experiences, places, and people. It can also take a toll on the body. I am definitely aware of that this week after the constant “go-go” of hopping on planes, trains, Ubers, and walking, walking, walking.

This week, I’m going to be giving you some “take-away” tips on my travel routines I use to keep myself feeling physically well and mentally well! To access those tips, follow us on social media, or tune in for next week’s blog!

Here’s a recap of this month’s travels!

It started with a surprise birthday trip to San Francisco (technically, the end of April). I wasn't expecting this at all! Most of the time, when I’m traveling, I’m doing it for the business or for my career. I didn’t realize until we were there how much I needed a restful vacation for myself and my family.

The next week, I was at Sherman College, my alma mater, for continuing education. One of my favorite parts from this weekend was learning about how chiropractic has been showing incredible results with helping children with neurodevelopment disorders. Everything from children with motor and speech delays to severe Autism. Pretty inspiring!

The following week, I was back in Spartanburg for specialized training with "The Art of the Specific" group. This group is dedicated to training and mastery of the upper cervical chiropractic technique. I had the opportunity to train and coach students who are new to the program. This program is a vital part of keeping my clinical and technical skills sharp!

And after all that, our last trip this past weekend was to Denver, CO for a mind mastering seminar to work on personal development and mindset. I am a big proponent of mindset and self-awareness. Our beliefs about the world drive every decision we make. That’s why it’s important to be aware of your beliefs and how to manage your mindset!

I was also able to visit one of my favorite companies, The Specific Chiropractic Centers. They currently have 16 clinics across the US and are growing! The doctor that I visited, Dr. Alison Bremner, started the Boulder, CO office over 7 years ago.

I love the excitement of travel, but man, am I worn out! I’m excited to be back in the clinic serving our community this week, and I promise to stick around - at least for a little while!
